The short version

This website does not use cookies for advertising or behavioural profiling. We use Plausible Analytics for aggregate traffic measurement — Plausible does not set cookies and does not collect personal data, so it does not require your consent under UK GDPR or PECR. We do not run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, or similar tracking services.

What is a cookie?

Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device to remember information between page loads or visits. Some cookies are essential to a site working at all; others are used to track behaviour across sites for advertising or analytics. Under UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), only the strictly necessary kind can be set without explicit consent.

What we use

Plausible Analytics — we use Plausible to understand which pages are popular and how visitors arrive at the site. Plausible is a privacy-first analytics service that does not set cookies on your browser, does not collect any personal data, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not share data with third parties. All measurement is anonymous and aggregated. Because Plausible is cookieless and does not process personal data, it does not require consent under UK GDPR or PECR. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may set a short-lived, session-scoped cookie used purely to route requests reliably. This is classed as strictly necessary under PECR and does not require consent. It contains no personal data and is cleared when you close your browser.

The Outfit typeface used across this site is self-hosted from our own domain — no third-party font CDN is contacted.

What we don't use

• No Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar cookie-based analytics
• No advertising or remarketing cookies (Meta Pixel, Google Ads, LinkedIn Insight, etc.)
• No social media tracking cookies
• No third-party embeds that drop cookies (e.g. YouTube, Vimeo)

If that changes

If we ever add a tool that sets non-essential cookies or processes personal data, we will introduce a consent banner that lets you accept, decline, or fine-tune your choice before any such cookies are set. We will also update this page accordingly.
